Rome

These links will each take you to one page of the diary. The pages of the diary are referenced NOT by the date they were written but instead by the date that appears at the top of he page. In other words, Rachael kept the diary in a diary book for 1858 BUT she did not confine herself to the space provided for each day. Instead, she just wrote. So the page that is labeled "September Thursday 2" reports events for June 19th. My goal is to transcribe the Diary below. Please help me by either sending me trascriptions or correcting my mistakes by email.
The files are quite large so they will take time to download. However, the trade off then is that they have a lot of quality and you can blow them up as large as you want. You will want to change your browser to view 50% to see the whole picture. You should be able to use the backarrow to come back to this page. You will note that Rachael does not believe in punctuation. You will also note that I transcribe the lines exactly as she wrote them, each line is a line.
